Please WELCOME our NEW Sports Therapy Massage service offered by licensed, certified massage therapist, Greg Eisenburg.
Whether you are an ATHLETE with a sports injury, or are suffering from chronic pain from muscle overload, this massage is for YOU. We provide customized treatment plans based on client concerns – NOT A “ONE SIZE FITS ALL” APPROACH!
Our Sports massage therapy is NOT A “DAY AT THE SPA” KIND OF MASSAGE. Our SPORTS MASSAGE helps our clients to prepare thier bodies for optimal performance and prevent injury. Our sessions can include a variety of manual therapies, modalities and massage therapy techniques.
MODALITIES:
- ORTHOPEDIC MASSAGE involves therapeutic assessment, manipulation, and movement of the locomotor soft tissues to reduce or eliminate pain or dysfunction.
- NEUROMUSCUALAR THERAPY is a very specific process using a scientific approach focusing on very specific muscles and their tendons, resulting in greater flexibility, blood flow and balancing the central nervous system.
- TRIGGER POINT MASSAGE is a technique used to release hyper-contractions called trigger points. Pressure is used in the muscle tissue to break up the “knots”. Trigger points are usually painful and result in the loss of elasticity and blood flow of very specific area of a muscle.
- MUSCLE ENTERGY TECHNIQUES is a form of stretching & active contraction of a muscle by the client against a resistive force provided by the therapist.
- MYOFACIAL RELEASE This is a manipulative treatment that releases tension in the fascia due to trauma, posture, or inflammation. It restores mobility and removes restrictions in fascia tissues using gentle manual manipulation and stretching.
